THE SPIRIT OF FLORENTINE CRAFTSMANSHIP IN BELGRADE: Salon of Excellence – Florence Edition from May 14-21 at the Italian Culture Institute in Belgrade in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Serbia on occasion of Made in Italy Day

Belgrade, April 2026 – Once again, Belgrade will serve as the stage for a unique event celebrating the pinnacle of artisanal mastery and the timeless elegance of Italy. The Salon of Excellence – Florence Edition, organized by DeGorsi Luxury Consulting, will be held in partnership with the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade, under the patronage of H.E. Ambassador Luca Gori, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, as part of the official Made in Italy Day celebrations.

Building on the success of last year’s Venice-themed edition, this year’s event brings the essence of Florence to the capital—a city that has remained the global synonym for art, exquisite craftsmanship, and the most sophisticated sartorial style for centuries.

Central Event: Gala Evening at the Embassy of Italy

The Florentine Gala—the grand opening of this year’s Salon of Excellence—will be a formal evening hosted at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador (Birčaninova 11) on Tuesday, May 12, starting at 6:00 PM. This prestigious gathering will offer guests a rare opportunity for a direct encounter with the leading artisans of the Florentine scene, featuring their personal insights and addresses.

The evening will also feature a screening of the documentary “I Colori di Antonio” (The Colors of Antonio), directed by Gianluca Migliarotti, which chronicles the life and legacy of the legendary tailoring maestro, Antonio Liverano. The event is strictly reserved for invited guests and media representatives.

Symposium and Exhibition of FLORENTINE MASTERS at the Italian Cultural Institute

The program continues on Wednesday, May 13, at 6:00 PM, at the Italian Cultural Institute (Kneza Miloša 56). A symposium titled “Florentine Masters of Craftsmanship in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” will feature a discussion with the artisans themselves. Following the debate, visitors are invited to an exclusive exhibition and tasting, showcasing the zenith of contemporary Italian handcraft. This event is open to the public.

Participants – Icons of Florentine Elegance and Artisanal Excellence

The exhibition will showcase world-renowned masters and heritage houses:

A Tradition of Excellence and Artistic Innovation

Starting this year, a significant new element is introduced: each subsequent edition will feature a special exhibition by a selected visual artist, enriching the Salon’s artisanal focus with unique artistic perspectives.
