Maestro Franco Puppato stands as a living legend of Italian tailoring, celebrated worldwide for his meticulous craftsmanship, refined aesthetic, and unwavering dedication to the sartorial arts. Over a distinguished sixty-year career, Maestro Puppato has dressed discerning international clientele, shaping the landscape of classical menswear with effortless Venetian sophistication. This retrospective exhibition offers a rare immersion into his personal archive, showcasing iconic creations—including wearable works of art inspired by Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso—that blur the lines between bespoke tailoring and fine art.

Elevating the evening’s narrative, the showcase brings together exceptional artistic collaborators who complement Maestro Franco Puppato’s vision and serve as his inspiration. Poetess Michela Ridolfi brings a poetic resonance to the showcase through her evocative lyrical sensibility, seamlessly weaving literature with the visual artistry of bespoke tailoring. Celebrated painter Luigi Ballarin contributes a rich visual dialogue, bringing his signature blend of Mediterranean traditions and Venetian heritage to the atmosphere. Completing this multi-sensory journey, perfume artisan and visionary Marco Vidal enriches the experience with exquisite olfactive creations rooted in the historic spice and fragrance legacy of Venice.

Beyond honoring six decades of excellence, the initiative firmly looks toward the future of high craftsmanship. Deeply rooted in the memory of the Maestro’s beloved son, Alessandro Puppato—who worked side by side with his father for years in their Venetian atelier—the exhibition marks the official launch of “The Alessandro Puppato Legacy Scholarship.” Through this memorial scholarship, Maestro Franco Puppato will offer an intensive, tuition-free six-month master training program to a talented young tailor, with applications open throughout September 2026.

This landmark occasion is hosted in partnership with fine fragrance house The Merchant of Venice as the official event partner, alongside Brilla! wines and The Black Tie gin providing selected refreshments for the evening.
