From May 20th until June 15th.
Organized by the Belgrade City Museum and the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade, in close collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Belgrade, and in partnership with DeGorsi Fine Arts, the capital of Serbia plays host to the exclusive exhibition “Interni Italiani” (Italian Interiors) by the world-renowned Italian artist and photographer, Massimo Listri. This exhibition represents a significant novelty within the Salon of Excellence platform, introducing an artistic segment that is officially opened this year by Listri himself—an artist celebrated for his visual perfection and unique depiction of architecture and interior spaces.
Massimo Listri: An Artist Who Portrays the Soul of Spaces
Massimo Listri is widely regarded as one of the most significant photographers of architecture and interior spaces of our time. His career began at the tender age of 17, and in 1981, alongside Franco Maria Ricci and Vittorio Sgarbi, he co-founded the iconic FMR magazine, which for decades stood as one of the world’s most influential publications dedicated to art and architecture. Over more than three decades of prolific work, Listri has published over 80 books for the world’s leading publishing houses, documenting the majestic palazzos of Rome, the hidden villas of Tuscany, the opulence of Versailles, and the most renowned interiors of Europe and the Americas. His photographs are universally recognized for their perfect perspective, metaphysical atmosphere, and exceptional use of natural light.

The Belgrade audience will have the opportunity to experience the works of an artist whose exhibitions have been showcased in some of the most important cultural institutions across the globe, including the Vatican Museums, Palazzo Pitti in Florence, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, and the Quirinale Palace in Rome. Furthermore, Listri’s extraordinary oeuvre has been presented at institutions such as the Morgan Library in New York, the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá, and numerous national galleries spanning from Mexico City to Taipei, cementing his status as one of the most vital contemporary ambassadors of architectural aesthetics.
